It is just about CHRISTMAS! I have been so excited for Christmas for the past few months for a few reasons, but it makes me wonder, how many of us really celebrate Christmas for what it is supposed to be? I mean, listening to all the commercials and ads, Christmas has been distorted over the years, hasn’t it? Now, it is a time to celebrate friends, family, and “blessings”. What about the biggest blessing of them all? This Christmas, we should work together to remind each other that Christmas celebrates the arrival of Christ! I mean, Christmas literally means a day to celebrate Christ because -mas generally means a day of celebration. Let’s not forget why we celebrate, though! We celebrate because we have salvation through Christ. He came to offer his forgiveness from our sins, and that is more than worth celebrating! That is the reason for our hope!
