Christmas is right around the corner, but with it comes the stress and chaos of the season. We get so caught up in everything being “perfect” that we forget the true reason for the season is celebrating the arrival of the only one that could ever be and ever was truly perfect! There are no quotations needed when talking about the perfection of Christ for he truly is the perfect Lamb of God! It can be really hard to let go of our fake version of perfect, especially for those of us that feel the need to control what is going on around us (even when that’s completely impossible), but we are only going to make matters worse when we try to take situations out of God’s hands. Trust God! I know it’s not that easy, believe me. We can work at it together, though. I pray that each one of you is able to rest in God’s plan tonight and this Christmas.
This week, instead of challenging your actions, I want to challenge you to work together. Find a partner and work on trusting God’s plan together. Maybe you are in different places in your lives. That’s okay. Just work together in prayer and in time in God’s word. Work at trusting God and his legitimately perfect plan, but be okay with sharing. It is through communication and sharing with one another that we can support one another, fellowshipping together in Christ.
Lastly, Merry Christmas! May you have a very blessed Christmas and a peaceful one, at that, where you can truly rest in God’s perfect provision.
