Recently, this week, I had a wonderful opportunity, but it required stepping out in faith. If I did not trust God, but instead trusted my fears, then I would have missed a great opportunity to meet and fellowship with other believers. I was strongly convicted by what one of these believers said about new experiences. They said that, often, when we have time to think about something, we let the stress build up because we consider all the possible issues. This is so true, but also so wrong of us to do because we should allow our trust to be in God, not in what we can control. God controls everything, so, clearly, he has a plan in store, regardless of what we can or cannot see.
I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself,
that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
Jeremiah 10:23; English Standard Version; Crossway, Student Study Bible
I am the LORD, and there is no other,
besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,
that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I form light and create darkness,
I make well-being and create calamity,
I am the LORD, who does all these things.
Isaiah 45:5-7; English Standard Version; Crossway Student Study Bible
