Over the last few weeks, I have learned a lot about strengthening my faith through other people’s questions. As a younger college student from a homeschool, Christian background, I am asked a number of questions, whether they be, “Why were you homeschooled?”, “What do you think about the Bible’s translations?”, or “Do you think you were at a disadvantage when it comes to the college transition because you were homeschooled?”. I have even had a few people try to get me to “loosen up”, as the saying goes. It has made me more and more certain where I stand on critical matters, cementing my faith. Instead of swaying, these questions have forced me to press harder into God’s words. I encourage you, when someone says something that you do not have an explanation for why you stand where you do on it, to look it up in the Bible. Do not be afraid to say you do not know but that you will look it up. God wants us to go to him with all of our questions – the big and the small. He holds the answers, so ask him.
