I am out of words this week, and I do not know how to elaborate upon this valuable concept. I know it is important to remember that God is in control, so I wanted to remind you that he has a plan, even when it feels like we are surrounded by darkness. I think the best way to do that this week is to share some verses with you. Please, enjoy these verses of encouragement about God overcoming the power of darkness. He is in control!
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12; English Standard Version; Crossway, Student Study Bible
I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.
John 12:46; English Standard Version; Crossway, Student Study Bible
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1; English Standard Version; Crossway, Student Study Bible
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16; English Standard Version; Crossway, Student Study Bible
